How does your work connect to iScribe's mission or what impact do you hope your work has on physicians, healthcare teams, or patients?
I am looking forward to working with this team and continuing to bring providers a more efficient and effective way to get their notes done. I hope this gives the patients a more fine tuned form of care.
What inspired you to join iScribeHealth? We'd love to hear the story.
I was working in the lab at Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center as a contractor and just needed something with a little more variability and excitement.
What skills or experiences do you bring to your role that help you succeed here?
My background is a little different. I have years experience in Physical Therapy clinics, the healthcare side of the military, and clinical lab as a travel tech. I have had to opportunity to run clinics and work alongside physicians to create an efficient flow for them and patient care.
As someone new to iScribe, which of our core values has resonated with you the most so far and why?
Customer Obsessed - I love that we are getting to opportunity to give patients a chance to feel better heard and seen. Sometimes all they need is someone to actually take the time to listen. I also used to watch physicians having to stay late or come in early to get notes done and how this took time away from them to spend with family and friends and be able to decompress. I want to help fight that burnout that's spreading like wildfire in healthcare.
If you could instantly master any new skill, what would it be?
If I could instantly master any new skill I would love it to be endurance tasks. I would love to enjoy running and I keep hoping one day if I keep doing it I will force myself to love it.
What's your favorite way to recharge outside of work?
My favorite way to recharge outside of work is in the gym or if a can find a nice hike to kill some time on. I also enjoy cooking and baking and the excitement of trying a new recipe.
What motivates you to do your best work each day?
What motivates me to do my best work each day is the opportunity to work with a team and make sure I am doing everything I can to bring more to the table and continue to succeed.
