Coding functionality is meaningless without true defensibility.
Commure’s Ambient+ tier claims autonomous CPT and ICD-10 coding built “bottoms up by specialty to achieve 95%+ alignment with gold standard coders.” It’s unclear what this “gold standard” is, but more importantly, they are not supplying an independent audit of defensibility. Commure also does not publish how codes are validated, whether each one links back to supporting documentation, or whether a provider signs off before anything bills.
