As a Frontend Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and support of our clinical web-based applications. You'll collaborate with design, product, and backend teams to create elegant, performant, and scalable user experiences. Your contributions will directly impact the daily workflows of healthcare providers and the efficiency of our platform.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and develop responsive, accessible web applications using React and TypeScript.

• Lead and contribute to the architecture, maintenance, and scalability of frontend applications and shared libraries.

• Build and manage dashboards, analytics views, and complex UI components for healthcare users.

• Develop and maintain Chrome extensions tailored for clinical workflows.

• Ensure high standards of security, accessibility, and performance across all frontend deliverables.

• Own and manage frontend observability through effective monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.

• Collaborate with backend and DevOps teams to integrate APIs and enhance system reliability.

• Maintain thorough web app documentation (wikis, component usage guides, architecture notes).

• Perform code reviews, mentor junior developers or interns, and foster best practices in code quality and testing.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, while improving system visibility and frontend resilience.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in frontend development, including at least 3 years of production-level React experience.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React Hooks, and component-driven development.

• Demonstrated experience in building, owning, and maintaining modern web applications end- to-end.

• Solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimization.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, especially GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.

• Comfortable with frontend testing using Jest, Testing Library, or Cypress.

• Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a cross-functional, collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Chrome extension development.

• Expertise in building dashboards or data-driven UIs.

• Knowledge of state management tools such as Redux Toolkit or Zustand.

• Background in healthcare technology or handling of PHI/PII securely.

• Familiarity with GraphQL, RESTful APIs, and modern build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite).

• Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards.

• Experience with feature flagging, frontend analytics, and performance tracing.
